Hello,

I just sent a friend request on Facebook and I come back a few hours later and I don't see the "add friend" button anymore, but instead I see "follow", but not "friend". And when I go to my recently added friends, I can't find him...
So I don't understand why I'm not friends with him, did he accept me? Or did he reject me?

Facebook says this about friend requests:

Why can’t I add someone to my friends list?

Privacy settings may hide the Add button on some people’s profile pages. Additionally, once you have sent a friend request to a user, you won’t be able to send them another one.

Only send invitations to people you know personally. If your invitations go unanswered or are reported as unwanted, you may be restricted from adding friends to your list.

Note: If you want to add someone to your friends list who you have previously blocked, you must unblock that user before you can send your request.
