Underline a title with a line shorter than the text

Hello,

I need to create a document where the titles are underlined by a short line, always of the same width, and especially smaller than the text.

I don't want to add the line manually each time; it should be a text style. Is that possible?

Thank you

Good evening,

You will start by inserting your line:

Home tab, Paragraph group, click on the Borders button, then on Horizontal Line.
Then double-click on the inserted line to open the line format dialog box.

You choose your width. It can be in % or in cm.
You choose the alignment (probably centered), possibly the color, the height... then OK.

From there, in your document, every time you insert a horizontal line, it will have the same appearance.

If you want to reuse this format for other documents without having to redo the format each time, just save it in Quick Parts:
Select your line then Insert => Quick Part => Save Selection to Quick Part Gallery.
Complete the dialog box by giving a name in particular and OK.

To insert your line: Quick Part button, and select your line.

You can also make it an AutoText entry to insert your line using the name from the keyboard. In principle, you would just need to place the item in the AutoText gallery, but I fear that it may not work in the case of a graphic object.
Then simply select the line, then File tab => Options => Proofing => AutoCorrect Options button, and put a specific name in the Replace box.

To insert the line, you will just need to type the name followed by a space.
