Processor at 99% Solved

Question

Hello everyone,

For several weeks now, I have found my PC to be very slow. While checking the task manager, I noticed that the CPU is almost always at 99%. The programs taking up the most resources are generally Windows Explorer, "Service Host: Local System" (svchost), and sometimes the task manager itself!

At the same time, (this might be related, but I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it...) my usual browser, Chrome, is lagging a lot and the start bar often freezes (especially since I switched to Avast... link?)

Once downloaded to your desktop, launch it

Let the tool work, even if it seems stuck!

It seemed to me that you need to clean and optimize the PC if you want W10 to run on it!

Basically, it's your processor that is struggling!

Go to Ccleaner's settings and disable software monitoring and its startup launch

Remove µTorrent from the PC startup in its options; it launches even when you don't see it!

Microsoft Toolkit has been used to activate W10 on this PC!

Download and save Zhpfix on your desktop:

Run it; it will install on your PC,

Right-click on the ZHPfix logo, "Run as Administrator"

Click on "import"

You will see a warning message, click OK.

Hello,

After a pleasant surprise yesterday, when uninstalling Avast and activating Defender, where the CPU usage had become much lower, it’s ultimately a disaster since this morning, it has become very high again.
Now it’s Windows Defender’s turn to take between 15 and 95%, as well as "Windows host process Rudll32" and always the famous "service host"... :-/

The disk, for its part, often shows as full as well (97% at the moment I’m writing this message).

Should I finally also disable Defender and get yet another antivirus instead?

In any case, thank you very much for taking the time to respond to me and for trying to solve my problem, it’s very kind!

If your PC is lagging, it's simply because your processor can't handle Windows 10 64 bit, despite having 6 GB of RAM!

Just disabling Defender and installing another antivirus won't solve the issue!

I think the best option is to switch to the 32 bit version of Windows 10!

However, your 6 GB of RAM will no longer be usable:

Only 3.5 to 3.7 GB is managed by 32-bit!

Install the 32-bit version,

if you see that it still doesn’t work, revert to the version of W8 you had before!

You cannot downgrade from 64-bit to 32-bit and vice versa!

You need to completely reinstall the PC from an ISO!

Otherwise, stay on W8 / 8.1 in 64-bit!
