screen issue with vertical lines Solved

Question

I have a big problem with my PC (which is brand new); after a while when it's on, it shows a screen with lots of small vertical bars, and they are never the same color and never appear at the same time; it could be an hour or 5 minutes.
When this screen comes up, nothing works anymore, I just have to restart.
It’s not the monitor because I tried with another one and it’s the same.

Configuration: Windows XP home Firefox 2.0.0.5 amd athlon 64 am 2 3600+ a 250GB Seagate hard drive 1024MB of RAM

So, you should try using another graphics card; yours seems to be overheating a bit too much. But since your PC is new, it should still be under warranty, so return it for repair, sorry.

It's not me who installed the motherboard, actually it was a friend who has an IT company, and even he doesn't know where it could come from. He told me to do an online virus scan (since mine doesn't find any viruses), and otherwise we'll reinstall Windows; we don't see any other solution.

looking at the reviews of the card I have, it seems to have an issue with Windows XP SP2
finally, after changing the motherboard, it's still nice to find out where the problem comes from

the bug was indeed the wi-fi card which is obviously not compatible with SP2, in any case there are no drivers for it thank you for your help

On this Christmas Eve, as I can't sleep, I'm trying again to solve a problem.
It concerns vertical bars that are green, red, and yellow (sometimes all mixed colors), but these bars appear
on the video window screen when I visit a sports site for football or rugby or news and want to watch a topic; sometimes the video is normal, and sometimes I can only see those famous vertical colored bars.
