Streaming site virus?

Hello,
I was trying to find a movie to watch with my family on a streaming site. I often use these sites to watch my TV series and have no real problems on my computer. But when I clicked on the link on my iPhone to go to the site, a white error message popped up telling me that I had malware that could compromise my information, credit card, Facebook, etc., and that I needed to call a number to resolve this. I called the number (no way to speak to someone in French), and the lady told me it was a very dangerous virus and that I could resolve it online for $80 with an agent... anyway, I refused. I'll go see someone in person at Apple, but in the meantime, I'm a bit scared to use my iPhone. Has anyone else had this issue?
