Hello,
I use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to annotate and comment on my PDF files, but I recently made a big mistake that prevents me from continuing to do so. Indeed, while wanting to experiment a bit with the program, I ventured into the "Properties" of the text notes that I could mark anywhere on my pages. Out of curiosity, I clicked the "Lock" box to see what it did. However, since that brilliant idea, I can no longer write anything, and when I try to go back to the properties, the Lock box is grayed out, so I can't click on it to disable it... What should I do???? I really need to know, my life and academic success depend on it !!!!! :OOO

Hello,
What is at least your operating system (OS)? We are not clairvoyants, so details about your computer are needed: model of Mac (if Mac) and OS, as access to certain files is not the same from one OS to another.

OK, so from the Finder menu "Go" while holding down the Option (Alt) key, you'll see "Library" in the dropdown menu (this is your user library). Click on it to open it, and go to the "Preferences" folder. With Adobe Acrobat closed, look for the file "com.adobe.acrobat reader.plist" (or a similar name that ends with .plist), move it to the trash, restart Acrobat, and check if it's working. If so, empty your trash, as a new preferences file will have been created. If you had set certain preferences, recreate them.
