WiFirst, urgent issues!

Hello hello!
I moved into a university residence a few days ago, and I'm having quite a few issues with WiFirst...

My studio is equipped with a Thomson TG712 modem.
All the lights are solid green, except for the wireless light which is flashing red and the ethernet light which is flashing green.

As soon as my computer is connected via RJ45, I can log in through the WiFirst portal without any problem. But after a while, it disconnects me for no reason and I get the message "Your connection is not private, someone might be trying to steal your information,...", etc. At that point, it’s impossible to get back to the WiFirst portal, I keep getting this message until I restart my PC. I tried disabling Avast, but nothing changed.

I’ve also never been able to connect via WiFi with my laptop, I automatically get the same message, and I'm on limited connection.

On the other hand, on my smartphone, everything works fine except for a few interruptions.

So I would like to know if anyone has any solutions, please?
I imagine it’s some configuration issues, but I can’t seem to find exactly what I need on Google.

It would really help me out since the internet is essential for my studies.
Thanks in advance and good evening to you!

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 44.0.2403.157

Hi,
configure your connection to public network instead of private network.
After that,
talk to the network administrators of the residence.

If you have a residential group, remove it.

So I don't have a residential group and the connection is already set up as public, I don't know what to do anymore...
