Hello, I just received an email from DHL customs regarding an order from DHGate of 55 dresses resembling Elsa's,
I knew they looked similar, but I didn't know there was an Elsa brooch on them.
Will I be able to get a refund?
The email says: "Customs have informed us of the seizure of your package referenced in the subject, for the prohibited importation of counterfeit goods.
A seizure report is in progress and will be sent to you as soon as it is obtained."
What will I receive? Do I have recourse on the site if I file a dispute?
What is a seizure report (how will I receive it)?

Hi,
As my friend Gironsul says: no recourse.
Hello, I just received an email from DHL customs regarding an order from DHGate for 55 dresses resembling Elsa's.
So you knew very well that the model was similar and was a replica of the original... therefore, you ordered with full knowledge and you know what you ordered.
At best, you will receive a letter at home with a summons to customs, a possible fine that may cost you quite a bit, and some legal troubles... or you might have a search at your home early in the morning to ensure that you don't have any other counterfeits at home and that you're not selling them, given the quantities ordered.
Best regards,

We teamed up to buy these dresses for our kids... I told customs that it was for a wedding.
After all those insignias, I don’t need them; I couldn’t know that those were on the dresses.
What is the seizure report? What does it state? I even hesitate to talk about it with my husband.
The fine will be notified on a separate document. But there is a good chance that a summons to customs will be issued... it will all depend on what information you have.
Whether combined or not... if you ordered 50 pieces, it is mainly considered as the resale of goods even if it's for friends... it will be up to customs and the authorities to determine the consideration.
You say you informed customs that... so you have already had contact with them? What did they say?
