Cannot open the source file of the pivot table

Hello,

a conversation on this topic was initiated but went unanswered, just to make sure I understand... could you help me?

I created an Excel file called ALPHA. In this ALPHA file, I created a pivot table named X. This pivot table named X sources from tables in the ALPHA file.

Later on, I replaced the ALPHA file with a new "improved" ALPHA file. The first ALPHA file has been deleted and the second has replaced it, with no difference in names, even though it is an "improved" version. The deleted file is nowhere to be found.

Since this lovely operation, every time I open my ALPHA file, the following message appears:
"Cannot open the source file of the pivot table '[ALPHA.xlsm]X' "

I have several questions:
1. how can I find a pivot table named X among all my pivot tables (many) in the ALPHA file? (I searched in the "Name Manager" with no success)

2. how can I modify the source (given that it may come from the first ALPHA file, which has since been deleted)

Thank you very much in advance for your availability and your responses!!!

    Hello,
Please specify where the data that is the source of the pivot table is located and where the pivot table itself is, on the same sheet or elsewhere...?

You said: I replaced the ALPHA file with a new "improved" ALPHA file.
What exactly should we understand from this...?

      Hello everyone.
I have the same problem. The data is in the same workbook but on a different sheet.
