Hello,
I would like to copy music recorded on old audio cassettes to CDs that can be played on any player. Is this possible?
If so, could someone in the user community please guide me on the procedure to follow as well as the recording format on the CD?
Thank you and see you soon.

Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 40.0

    Hello,

    It is also possible to directly convert your cassette tapes to MP3 or WAV with this type of device: http://www.cassette.ovh/k7mp3
    You can find them starting from 25 euros. It can simplify the most tedious part of the process...

      Hello Patrick 62100,
      Thank you for your response. I checked the website you mentioned in your proposed solution and, for more information, the answers to customer questions. However, I couldn't find the ones that interest me. All these products seem to only create MP3 files (not WAVE) without digitizing.
      Right now I'm trying to use Audacity version 2.1.0, but I'm struggling because there is no proper tutorial in French.
      I will keep you updated on how it goes.

      Go look in the preferences (options) of Audacity, it will already give you information about what it can do or not... and your computer too... inputs (recording) outputs (playback)... etc.

    Hi.

    The format should be .wav.

    Plus the equipment;

    the tape player, a line input on the PC (or sound card), the cable, recording software (Audacity for example) and time!!
    It would also be better to have software to remove tape hiss, like Magix Audio Clinic.

    Thank you for the proposed solution. Despite my lack of experience, I believe I can manage and will be sure to communicate the result.
    See you soon
