Issue: incorrect value for the register Solved/Closed

Question

Hello,  Here is my problem. For the past few days, I can no longer view my photos using the new "Photos" program in Windows 10, which was working at the beginning of my migration to Windows 10. When I try to open them, a message saying "incorrect value for the registry" appears. However, by right-clicking, selecting "open with," and choosing the old Windows photo viewer, it works.  Can someone please help me?  Thanks in advance!   Configuration: Windows / Chrome 42.0.2311.135

The solution is to go to "Apps & features", select "Photos" => "Advanced options" => "Reset".

Hello,  I solved my problem by reinstalling the Photos, Mail, Calendar, etc. apps from the site:  https://www.microsoft.com/fr-ca/windows/features?SEMID=1&WT.srch=1&ocid=win10-rtw_SEM_GOO_MSBRANDED_ACTV_fr-CA  All the apps are available for download further down on this site.  Good luck!

Actually, I don’t know how to uninstall them. Apparently, the "uninstall" option doesn’t appear for Mail and Calendar (which I’m also having an issue with, they simply won’t open), and with Photos, "uninstall" is offered, but nothing happens. Any idea? I’m open to suggestions ;)
