Need help converting a file to the FOGRA47L profile please.

Hello,

I want to print a document and I'm unable to convert it to the color profile requested by my printer!
Since the printing is on recycled paper, he requires my file to be in the following colorimetric profile: PSO Uncoated ISO12647 (Fogra 47L)

I've been trying everything I can find online for 2 days and I'm not succeeding :( :'(

I have downloaded the extension from the internet and placed it in my windows32/.../color folder, but nothing works. I can't find the color profile in Photoshop when I try to convert the color profile of my file...

Could someone please help me?

If you have this colorimetric profile in your Photoshop, could you please convert 2 small images for me?

    What is the file extension you retrieved? ICC or ICM?

      The full name of the file is: PSO_Uncoated_ISO12647_eci.icc

      It was the printer himself who sent it to me...

    Apparently, the FOGRA29L profile is a substitute profile for 47, but I don't know anything about it and my printer doesn't know what to tell me...

    Will the print be correct if I convert to FOGRA29 (I have that profile in my Photoshop)?

    If you are on 64 bits, it should also be placed in Windows/SysWOW64/drivers/color.

    In fact, the profile is just used to convert RGB to CMYK. It helps to tailor the conversion as best as possible based on the inks used later for printing (we don't print in 3 RGB colors!)

    Then there are 2 possibilities:
    - either you do not include a profile, and the color separation is done normally
    - or you include the profile and the separation will be influenced by the profile if the one embedded is different from the one used by the RIP.

      I do not have a folder "color" in Windows/SysWOW64/drivers/

      should I create it and insert my .icc file there??

      No, if it doesn't exist, it's because your installation doesn't need it...

      Did you not find this profile in the Photoshop color configuration list?
      "Edit/Color" menu??
