1 unplug the decoder from the power source
2 unplug the satellite antenna
3 plug it back in and at the same time press the P+ button TEN times
It will restart and search for updates and come to channel 1 indicating no signal
4 reconnect the antenna and it will work
or like this
. unplug the decoder
. after 10 / 15 seconds, turn it back on
. IMMEDIATELY - without turning on the decoder - quickly press the P+ button on the decoder - not the remote control. (at least 10 presses)
. as soon as the display shows 'd001', let the device run... in my case, the counter went up to d099.
. then a display F001 appeared etc....
. finally, the time was displayed -> the forced update was complete (in total, about 5 minutes: the hotline operator told me that the update could take 15 / 20 minutes)

We need more details about the model of the decoder. I've repaired a TNT Sat Maestro Newsat decoder that was stuck on boot. See here for the explanations:
