Snapchat opens and closes.

Hello, I have a problem with my Snapchat. I have an iPod Touch 4, so IOS6.
As mentioned in the title, when I try to open the app, it opens for a few seconds on the yellow screen and then shuts down. I believe this is due to the new updates that require IOS7 or 8, which I can't install. So I have the latest update possible.
The problem had already occurred a few weeks ago but was fixed on its own in less than a day.
It started again last night and is still persisting, do you have a solution please? I have already tried to re-download the old update but it doesn't help.

    Apple deliberately causes older versions to glitch in order to constantly make us buy the latest models.
    Try reinstalling Snapchat; if that doesn't work, try restoring your iPod to factory settings. The RAM will be reset, and the iPod will be like new ;-)

      Alright, thanks! :) I'm going to try resetting Snapchat. I really don't want to reset my iPod and lose everything...
