Comment lire un fichier index.dat?

bonjour, etant novice, j aimerais savoir comment lire ce type de fichier "index.dat".j ai essaye en changeant le "dat en jpg,avi,htm,...etc.....mais ca ne marche toujours pas... un grand merci pour vos reponses. bonne journee
