Hello,

I would like to add numbers to an aerial photo to identify the buildings (like a circle with the number inside and an arrow or line pointing to it) so that I can create a legend afterwards. How could I do that?

Thank you.

You open your photo to edit with the software of your choice, for example Paint.
Then you use the tools, the color you want, and you manually annotate your circles and/or your numbers.
You save it in the end and there you go.
But for a more detailed user manual, you should find tutorials online without any problem.

    Hello
I'm thinking of Paint, which is available on all PCs and can do that, but there are many other software options that might be more specific..

When I open Paint and add a photo, I can't see what's at the top of the photo on the left side of the image (the floppy disk, undo, redo), so when I try and it’s not what I want, I can’t undo.

Even when I press Ctrl + Z, I still can't see it and it doesn't work any better.

When you say it's not what you want, are you talking about the image you opened or the Paint tools?
Don't pay attention to the -1 remark.

at the same time, we are not going to do for you what you want to do; unless someone has time to waste
your own training will be worth more than a step-by-step guide for the present case, and next time, for another result request, you still won't know how to do it!

look a little on your own, Google is your friend!
you've been advised about software, tutorials, everything... now it’s up to you to play
practice on other images, familiarize yourself with the different tools at your disposal, and the results they yield; in short, only you will find a solution based on the desired outcome

If you can't find the right maneuvers, it's a bit normal, paint.net has nothing to do with paint at all...
