Hello, I just bought a Rover 200 and I tried to connect my car radio. It turns on and then turns off 3 seconds later. Can you please help me?

    Hi

    check the speaker wiring, it might be that one of the wires is touching the body which puts the car radio in safety mode and therefore it shuts off.

      I've looked at all the connections but nothing is touching, I don't understand at all. I connected the black with the black, the red with a green and a white connector, the yellow with the purple, and the orange with a small red wire and a black connector—it was all alone behind the unit so I put it with the orange. I should specify that on my black connector, there were 3 wires connected: the purple, the green (and white), and the black. Is it normal to have 3 wires inside the car and 4 when I bought a new connector at Norauto?
