Freebox remote control cover stuck

Hello,
I recently received a new Freebox Revolution remote control (the thin grey one), but when I try to open the cover to insert the batteries, it stays stuck; it won't open despite my many efforts to force it.
What could I do to get it unstuck? Is it a genuine manufacturing defect?

    It was the same when I got mine. You have to press very hard on both sides at the same time and pull. On the first one, I broke something and the hood wouldn't stay on anymore.

      Their thing is pretty damn crappy... :-/

      It seriously broke, I had to put a piece of cardboard to hold the case together.
