Hello
After cleaning my wife's computer with CCLEANER and TuneUp utilities, she notices that 2 desktop shortcuts are not working anymore, even after reinstalling them.
The following message appears: "Unable to open this internet shortcut. The "https" protocol has no registered program"
What should I do or correct...
Thank you

Has the icon of your shortcuts changed?
Can you try using the "Open with..." option from the context menu (right-click) and open it with your usual browser or another one?-
Hello
The problem was resolved on the same day by another forum "Internet Tips", below is the solution:- Set the association of the HTTPS protocol with Internet Explorer (or another browser of your choice):
'Start' --> 'Default Programs' --> 'Associate a file type or protocol with a program' --> select the HTTPS protocol (at the very bottom of the list) --> 'Change program'
If necessary, shake the tree: associate the HTML protocol with another browser to re-associate it with Internet Explorer.
or- Reassign your preferred browser as the default browser:
Windows 7 or Vista: 'Start' --> 'Default Programs' --> 'Set your default programs' --> select 'Internet Explorer' or another browser of your choice --> 'Choose default settings for this program' --> check all boxes --> 'Save'
Thank you for your help and response... -

OK, I'm having trouble understanding your response from a probable computer scientist or enthusiast. As of today, everything is working, the icon (which triggered the problem) and the others...
Have a good day...
