Hello,
I work on a Mac and regularly with my Google Drive folder. I installed it on the computer, and there’s a small icon at the top of my screen, in the status bar that, when hovered over, drops down a menu to sync, open the folder online or in Finder, etc.
For several days now, despite completely shutting down my Mac, when I hover the mouse over this icon, the small loading wheel appears, indicating that the computer is working.
Moreover, when I try to open the application using a spotlight search, the error message -1712 appears.
If I go to Finder, I have access to all my documents stored in this folder. However, the documents I create online via Google Docs are not being retrieved, which to me indicates it’s no longer syncing.
What can I do? Is the only solution to uninstall the application and reinstall it (and thus restart the long synchronization process)?
Thank you for your help.

Hello,
I'm suggesting you try this:
Open Applications -> Utilities and launch "Activity Monitor"
Select the "CPU" tab
Choose the "View" menu and check "All Processes".
Now look among all the processes listed in the left column for the one called "Google Drive...".
Double click on it
In the window that appears, click the "Quit" button and then the "Force Quit" button.
Manually restart the "Google Drive" application
