"read more..." Solved

Question

Hello, I'm having a problem with the "more" tag that no longer works. It does not indicate "read more..." and all my text is visible. We used this tag a few weeks ago and it worked well. Does this come from the version of WordPress or its plugin?

All your text is visible, you mean the entire article is displayed in the feed? Look in the settings menu => reading => for each article in a feed and choose excerpt.

Thank you for your response. I followed the instructions but it's not working. For example, in my article, I place the more tag and I can see the code, but when I preview, I don't see "read more." I disabled the tinymce plugin and reactivated it... still nothing.

New update: when I am in an article, the tag works fine, but I have: "continue reading", can we have "lire la suite" like I had before.
However, on a page, the more tag does not work; is that normal? Does this tag only work in articles?

I had an obsolete adobe flash player plugin that I reinstalled, maybe that is what fixed things.
Can you please respond to me about the continue reading and the non-functioning in a page? Thank you very much.

You should not include a "more" tag in a static page since, by definition, it always displays in full, unlike articles that can be put in a feed like on the homepage or archives.

Normally, if the theme is well-made, the translation should be automatic, but in some themes, it's possible that "continue reading" is hard-coded, so you'll need to translate it manually in the files.
This can also happen if you modified the original "continue reading" (a simple space in the middle is enough) and the match in French doesn't occur.

It's difficult to help you more specifically without knowing the theme you are using, as the location varies depending on the code specific to each theme.

Thank you for the response; I have noted that we cannot use this tag in a static page.
The theme I am using is Twenty Thirteen; If you could point me to the place in the editor where I can change "continue reading" to "lire la suite" ...... thank you again for this help.

Thank you for the message. I found in the file index.php and I modified the function the_content and now it's working.
I don't want to take advantage of your kindness but I would like to know if it's possible to make a word blink in a tablepress table. I tried the blink tags but it doesn't work

si je me rappelle bien, la balise blink a été abandonnée par firefox le seul navigateur qui l'utilisait , il faut passer par du javascript, il existe plusieurs façons de faire mais j'aime bien celle-ci qui a un effet d'opacité dans l'éditeur wordpress en mode texte, tu entoures le mot de ton choix par ici tu mets le mot qui clignote ensuite tu ouvres le fichier footer.php de ton thème et tu colles le javascript juste avant la balise ainsi il fonctionnera sur n'importe quel article ou page où tu utiliseras span id="clignotant"
