Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my ASUS P8Z77 VLX motherboard.
I have a custom-built PC and the Wi-Fi has always worked well (I have a network card) but I can't get the ethernet connection to work.
The connection works perfectly with other computers.

Thinking that I didn't have the Ethernet controller drivers, I tried to install the Asus drivers, but during installation, I get an error message saying that the ethernet controller cannot be found.

And indeed, I don't see it in my device manager.
Yet there is a port on the motherboard.

Do you have any ideas, please?
Thank you.

Have you tried the site touslesdrivers.com to reinstall the driver in question?

Hello! Thank you for your responses!
Unfortunately, even after reinstalling the chipset driver, the same message still appears...

Should there be an Ethernet card or something like that appearing in my device manager? Or is it just that my drivers aren't working?

Hello,

Go into the BIOS and check if the LAN device is properly enabled.
Look in on-board device or integrated peripherals.

If you start in safe mode and look at your device manager and run a scan.

as Kaneagle says, if the LAN is enabled in the BIOS, there's nothing more to do; the network controller has an issue.
