Tablet turns off when I plug it into the charger.

Hello,
I'm looking for solutions to the following problem:
When I tried to charge my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, it turned off just as I connected it to the charger... I then restarted it, reconnected it and the same thing happened again! Plus, it no longer charges at all. So, I'm left with a tablet that won't turn on and that I can't charge anymore.
I should mention that I've tried with other cables, and the charger (it's the original one) works perfectly since it charges my other devices without any problems.
Do you have any idea what could have happened?
