Mouse detected by the computer but not working

Hello,
after a good week of searching, I've decided to post here in hopes that someone has a solution.
Let me explain:
My old mouse having died, I've bought a new one (Qilive USB optical)
but when I plugged it in, Windows started installing the drivers (Plug and play) and... well nothing, the pointer won't move.

I checked in the device manager, the HID mouse appears but instead of stating "USB port" it says "location 2," which is particularly strange.
The driver is up to date (according to Windows).

Another detail, when I leave it plugged in, it occasionally disconnects and reconnects repeatedly.

P.S.: I've tested the mouse on my desktop and it works perfectly.

If anyone has THE solution, I'm all ears because I admit I'm a bit annoyed right now...

    Hello,

Uninstall the driver in question via the Device Manager, restart, and then plug your mouse into another USB port to check.

Google before CCM, +1 if the answer is helpful, "resolved" if the problem is solved! ;)

    Hello,
Thank you for your response, but I have already tried and it hasn't changed anything.
The mouse is on and detected by the computer (red light and the Windows sound when a USB device is plugged in) but still doesn't work.

    Best regards.

Some suggestions: try installing the driver via the CD or the mouse's website. Also, try disabling the touchpad if you have one (fn+F9). Also, check if there's anything to enable in the BIOS (setup at startup).

Thank you for this quick response,

given that it's a Plug and Play, there is no installation CD. Also, on the Qilive website, the mouse doesn't appear anywhere (only their "high-end" products like tablets, cameras, etc.), so there's no way to download it either.
Next, disabling the touchpad (the shortcut for which depends on the machine, by the way ;) ) doesn't change anything.
Furthermore, I went through the BIOS and I didn't see anything related to USB ports or anything else (I might have missed it, but that doesn't explain why my mouse doesn't work while the old one was working perfectly).

      Best regards
