Connecting bare wire speakers (red and black) to a jack socket

Hello, I would like to know how to connect bare wire speakers (red and black) to a jack plug on my PC? I was thinking of connecting my hi-fi system to my computer, that is, the system + 2 speakers. This way I could control the volume of my PC through the volume button of my system. I hope you understand me :) Please give me your opinion, even if I need to make any purchases, please let me know what I should get :) Thank you!
Configuration: Windows XP / Chrome 38.0.2125.111

Hi RBC49,
- speakers on the jack output: it's useless, the sound card of your PC isn't powerful enough to directly drive the speakers, you need an amplifier in between.

-For the system: it must have a line-level input (CD, TUNER, AUX, LINE,...) usually with RCA plugs: http://ungeekaparis.fr/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/cables_audio_jack_rca_5_m_belkin.jpg
