DVD or BD-ROM drive Solved

Question

Hello,

I have a SONY laptop and for some time now, the DVD drives are no longer recognized on my computer.
In Windows Explorer, I see the label "BD-ROM (D:)", even though it is not a Blu-ray drive, but a DVD drive/burner!
All my DVDs are unreadable!

Have you ever encountered this problem?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the device several times, no change.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 38.0.2125.111

I downloaded the fix-it tool, but it doesn't fix the problem. It does see that there is an issue and doesn't recognize the DVDs.  It sends me to Microsoft support...

Thank you! That's exactly it, after installing a virtual reader tool, I lost my D: drive configuration. CD.INF helped restore the initial configuration!  Thank you for your help.
