Display of uppercase-lowercase lock missing

Question

Hello  I just bought a Packard Bell EasyNote TE laptop  The problem with this computer is that there is no indicator light for the SHIFT key, so every time I have to guess if it's in SHIFT or lowercase  A friend bought the same one but new, sniff, and he has a lock icon that appears in the middle of the screen indicating if he is in SHIFT or lowercase  So I would like to know how to reactivate it if possible or if it's a software that needs to be reinstalled  P.S.: sorry for the spelling mistakes  Thank you

Hello. Isn't there a small LED on the front (near the touchpad) by the power LED that indicates this action? It's just a suggestion. Best regards  -- Why place so much importance on the virtual world when nature is so beautiful and generous....................

What I find strange is that my old Toshiba Satellite had a LED on the SHIFT key, which was convenient, but here there’s nothing at all.
