Hello everyone,

Since this morning, every time I start up and at the lock screen, the keyboard goes back to Qwerty,

I tried changing the keyboard settings in the settings but it doesn't change anything..

The command
setxkbmap fr
sets my keyboard to "fr variant macintosh" but it’s not permanent. So I put this command in
/etc/rc.local
but it doesn’t change anything.

If anyone knows how to make this permanent or lock the keyboard, I’m all ears. I’m on Ubuntu 14.04 with a MacBook Pro 11.1

    Hello,

the Ubuntu documentation says to type the following command:

    sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration

    source: http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/configurer_le_clavier

    Otherwise, another lead here:

    https://www.skyminds.net/ubuntu-regler-le-probleme-du-clavier-qwerty-au-demarrage/

in this link, the mentioned Ubuntu version is older but I think both proposed solutions should still be valid.

      Hello,

      I had already tried:
      sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration
in the end I reinstalled Ubuntu and it's working perfectly now, but as with every problem, another one came up: I can no longer boot into my OSX partition; I must have overwritten the EFI boot of OSX while partitioning. I need to find a way to fix that from Ubuntu, but thank you very much for taking the time to respond.
