Good evening, I would like to install my new Panasonic car radio in my old Fiat Panda.
Unfortunately, I'm struggling with the wiring.
The color codes have completely changed and nothing matches.
I have the ISO connector connected to my car radio and for the speakers, it's fine (I think), it's just for the power supply of the car radio that I don't know where to connect.
I'm attaching photos, you'll understand better...

Hello
First of all, you need to locate all the voltages. Your black wire should be the ground, the two yellow wires should be +12V DC, and the red-green wire should be 12V that works with the ignition.
If you have a multimeter, it's ideal for detecting the voltages. If you don't have one, take a bulb from the emergency kit, connect the base of the bulb to the black wire, and with the yellow wire, connect it to the screw terminal and check if the bulb lights up. If it does, it's the +12V DC. Do the same test with the red-green wire, which should normally provide the ignition voltage (it should go to +12V when the car is running). For the +12V permanent (yellow wire), also check if your interior light works; generally, it is connected to it. If it doesn't work, change the fuse. -
Hello
I have a Clio 1 from 1995, but the car radio cables (the ones from the car) are cut (there's no connector, the wires are exposed) and I don't know which ones correspond to the power supply for the car radio. If someone could enlighten me, thank you in advance. -
Hello, I recently bought a JVC car radio but I'm having some issues with the wiring. My car is a 10-year-old OPEL CORSA that I just purchased, and there is no ISO connector, all the wires are exposed. I have identified the speaker wires, but regarding the power supply, I don't see how to connect them, as the colors of the car wires do not match those of the car radio. I tried to connect it but the only thing I can do is force the ejection of a CD; I can't get it to turn on. I think I've tried everything but I still can't get it to work. Could someone please help me? Thanks in advance.

I'm having a problem, I want to connect my Sony car radio to my 1994 Twingo, but there's an issue: all the car wires are exposed but there are 4 of them, 2 red and 2 black, and I don't know what they are. I have an adapter and I can connect the speaker wires but not the power wires. I have these 2 black and these 2 red (from the car) and a yellow-red, a black, a blue, and a red. What should I connect to what? Thank you for your responses.

Thank you for your response 3x.
I need to clarify one thing: I already thought about doing tests with a 12V bulb, and by connecting it to two of the wires, I got light. However, while doing these tests, I connected two wires (which I probably shouldn't have) and it sparked and smoked. Since then, I haven't been able to get a single light. I checked the bulb by connecting it directly to the two terminals of the battery, and it works fine.
So I was wondering if there might be any fuses that I could have blown. Is that possible? And if so, how do I change them?
I hope it's just fuses that need changing, and I haven't damaged my car radio. Do you have any tips for testing the car radio somewhere other than in the car?
Thanks again for the advice :) -
Hello
If you come back here, I can explain it to you.
Try to find a multimeter to start with.

Hello
I bought a Panasonic CQ C8403N on eBay, but it’s missing the original power harness
I've searched on plenty of websites and with several retailers, but no one has it
Do you know where I can find it
I also have a problem with the power supply coming from the car (Golf 1986), I've tested the wires for resistance in ohms and there is resistance, but I don't have any voltage, so if I connect a 12V bulb, nothing happens. What could be the issue? -
The problem is that I don't have any.
Is there no other way? -
Yes! Because you will need to identify the wires coming from your dashboard.
So, a 12-volt bulb and another piece of electrical wire about 30 cm long will do.
When you have that, I will give you the next steps.

Hi, I see you're knowledgeable about car radios
here’s my problem: I bought a Boss car radio that I want to install in my Clio, but I have the ISO connectors and when I plug it in, I have power but no sound. I was told I needed to swap the red and yellow wires, but I don’t know how to remove them from the ISO connector in order to swap them
can you help me, thanks

Hello, I have a problem with my Clio 2. I bought a LG car radio and as soon as I connect it, my mileage counter stops working! What should I do?

Hello everyone,
I have a Fiat Apia that was working fine until now, but for the past week, my windshield wipers and front and rear washers haven’t been working. I noticed that the fuse blew, so I replaced it, but every time I replace it, it blows right away. What could this be due to? Thank you all for your help. -
For the wires to be connected together, it is the power wire (red) and the memory wire (orange) that need to be connected to the + permanent wire of your car.

Good evening
I've just installed a CD car radio with ISO connectors in an old "car" that has wiring from 15 years ago...
No particular issues, but I'm asking this question...
Since there's only one + wire coming from the car while my ISO connector has
- a yellow + (battery) with the fuse
- a red + (ignition)
I connected the two together and connected them to the Red wire of my car
Of course it works (with the ignition on, I should mention) but what would have been the advantage of connecting the Yellow wire directly to the battery and the red wire to the ignition?
I imagine it’s a memory issue for the car radio? What do you think?
Knowing that my car radio has neither preset stations nor clock... what function might I "lose"?
Thank you -

Hi
Since you connected it to a + apparently non-permanent, after contact, you might indeed lose the memories after a certain time, as well as a bit of power from the built-in amplifier. Sometimes, when we push the volume, we can see the car radio's lighting dimming to the rhythm of the bass.
It's up to you to check; otherwise, you can connect a 1.5 mm² wire directly to the battery or find a permanent + in the wiring harness behind the car radio.

No problem connecting 2 speakers to the same output, just be logical. Reserve one output for the most powerful speakers (e.g., I connect my "big" rear speakers to one output so they can benefit from maximum power. Indeed, by connecting 2 speakers to the same output (therefore in parallel), I lose a bit of power (since the output powers 2 speakers). Now I just have to fine-tune the settings of the head unit. There are more advanced technical solutions available, but of course, they are more expensive.
I hope this answers your question. -
Small question, can you connect two speakers to the same output, is there no problem??
Because I only have 4 speakers too :P
Thanks for your replies -
Hello, I would like to know how to connect the speaker wires to my SONY car radio. The wires are already in place, but I don't know what to do now.
HELP, does anyone know how to do it?
thank you :) -

Good evening, I know this has nothing to do with the discussion, but does anyone know the car radio brand "ROADSTAR," please? I want to buy one and it seems good, but I've asked people I know and no one knows it, so I wanted to get some opinions! Thank you for replying as soon as possible, please!
P.S.: If anyone has a car radio to recommend, please don't hesitate. I want at least a unit with a USB Type A connection (USB stick)! Just provide me with the link! Thanks in advance to everyone! -
<translation>Connect the red one with the two yellow ones, along with the black one at the same time. The yellow ones are for memory and the red one is for the mass so it works. Connect all four together for it to work. I had the same problem; I saw the mechanic do it. Go ahead, trust me. Bye.</translation>

Also, I have an '86 Golf with only 2 wires coming out of the back. I tested them in ohms and there's resistance,
but there's no voltage.
What do I do?? :(
