I received the same message on my hi-fi system, so I sent an email to LG. Here is their reply:

"We inform you that a repair is necessary on your product and invite you to send it to our authorized repairer at the following address:

Your complete device must be sent with a photocopy of the purchase invoice, a summary of the encountered malfunction, and all your contact details.

We specify that, if the product is no longer under manufacturer's warranty, a repair estimate will be provided.

We remain at your disposal for any further requests.

Sincerely, Mr. .............., we express our distinguished greetings.

personally, I plan to return it to where I bought it, it's much simpler.
