Hello

A week ago, while surfing the net, green dots started to appear on my screen, so I had to force shutdown my PC to check what was wrong with the graphics card. I saw two bulging capacitors (one at the front, the other at the back)

Those surrounded in red:

The question is why they are in this state; I highly doubt they overheated.

See you later and thanks in advance for your answers.

    Hello
    an electrochemical capacitor (see Wikipedia) can explode, it's unfortunately common IF
    it overheats, there has been a short circuit of the rectifiers before the filter capacitor, if its rated voltage written on it is exceeded, or too close (this is common with Chinese and Korean ones) the list is long... In case of replacing the defective one, it is necessary to use, for example, a 30 volts / service for a 20/25 original. The problem that may arise then is the available space, like on the power supply boards of Samsung flat-screen TVs, very flat
    good luck but nothing serious if we properly remove the "residues" from explosions: conductive aluminum foil, a source of short circuits, and a good cleaning of the acid residues contained in the capacitor;
    cheers
