look at the 8th button at the top, counting from the left... a small antenna, a LED should light up!

    follow this link:

My F8 key has a symbol, a stack with + and - inside a box. I don't have any key with an antenna ((I)).

I thought you were trying to activate it (the Wi-Fi)!
Normally, the on/off function is done from the same key!

    Hello,

At the top of the keyboard, after the F12 key, you should have a key represented by an antenna ((I)).

      Hello Moskito 53,
Unfortunately, the key after F12 is "Scroll Lock" and "Num Lock" framed below.

No, rather to "unlock" it, I think it has been locked (antenna LED on) accidentally and I'm stuck activating the WIFI.

Yes, and thank you again, but I can't find the command or the button to turn on the WIFI (that is to say, to turn off the antenna LED).

As long as the LED is on, the Wi-Fi is working!

Sorry for the delay, I'm on several pages at the same time...

Ok thanks for all this information, I think there is an inconsistency on my PC. The LED is on, the Wi-Fi is not working anymore. I will try the techniques on the last link.
      Best regards
      Stéphane

otherwise check in the device manager, just in case...

it seems to me that the hp probook is equipped with an integrated bluetooth and wifi manager...

    Thank you
This worked well for me, but not entirely by following your method - which didn’t work completely for me. Instead of going to "system configuration", I went to "file" and restored the default settings
What raises my question is the documentation, which is not suitable for all models. Most people faced with this problem look for a "hardware" activation button - indicated by the manual - which probably does not exist

As mentioned above, this solution worked for me... phew
Moskito53, for your information, the antenna LED turns blue when the wifi is activated, orange when it is locked. The button apparently does not exist on my model.
Thank you for this valuable help
    Have a good day
    Good luck
    Steph

That's true! I didn't think to ask about the color of the LED!!!
The main thing is that it works?
