How to Retrieve Disappeared SMS Messages?

Hello?

Without me having deleted anything, all the SMS from the same contact have been erased from my iPhone.
It's impossible to find them even by searching on the iPhone.
Could you tell me how to recover them and reintegrate them into the iPhone if possible?

Thank you in advance and I want to clarify that my phone is not jailbroken.

    Yes, thank you, but it's also going to cause me to lose quite a bit of data since it dates back a little while.
