Calling a premium rate number from abroad

Hello,

I live in New Caledonia and I need to call a number starting with 08. How can I do that?

    To call a 08 number, it all depends on what follows: if it's a free number, you can use Skype. But if it's a premium rate number, you'll need Skype Premium, from what I've read.

    Moreover, if you end up on an automated system that asks you to press buttons... what a hassle! Unless, of course, you have Skype on your smartphone or tablet.

    Otherwise, you can have a look HERE, you never know, it might be a lucky break. Or even on this site that helps find regular landline numbers instead of the 08 ones...

    I've also seen somewhere that you could call premium rate numbers with Google Hangout, but I'm not familiar with that.

    It works very well with a Skype call to an 0800 number in Denmark.
