Locked movement in Illustrator

Hello, I have a serious problem with Illustrator: I worked all afternoon on a project and there were no issues. I picked it up again in the evening and now I can't move anything with the mouse. However, it works with the arrow keys. I should clarify that before this, my Illustrator crashed and I had to restart it. Basically, when I try to move a path, I hear the error sound and nothing moves :( . I hope I was clear, thanks in advance.
