Home cinema won't turn on

Hi there,
So here it is, for a while now my home theater hasn't turned on when I plug and unplug it. But after fiddling with the cables and unplugging and plugging it back in, it would work again. However, today there's no way to get it to power on. I've heard talk about capacitors and fans, but I'm not really sure where this problem might be coming from. Thanks in advance :-)
My home theater is a Sony DAV-F200.

    Hi,

    Does the cable seem damaged?

    Is it a detachable cable?

If you had been able to measure the continuity of the wire with a multimeter, in resistance mode (ohms), it could have helped.

Also, check if there is a blown fuse; again, a multimeter would be useful.

I can just tell you that the fan isn't working.
