Merge Excel cells

Hello,
I have Office Mac 2008 and I can't find the icon to merge cells?
Thank you

Configuration: Mac OS X (10.9) / Firefox 28.0

Hello, you can do it like this:

1/ Select the cells to merge.

Make sure that the data you want to display in the merged cell is located in the upper left cell of the selected range. Only the data in the upper left cell will be kept in the merged cell. The data from all other cells in the selected range will be deleted.

2/ Under the Home tab, in the Alignment group, click on Merge and Center.
If the Merge and Center button is grayed out, it means that the selected cells are in edit mode. To exit edit mode, press ENTER.

P.S.: To change the text alignment in the merged cell, select the cell, then click on one of the alignment buttons in the Alignment group of the Home tab.
