Invalid pivot table field name

Hello everyone,

I am analyzing the responses received from a questionnaire in Excel by creating a pivot table; however, when I click on okay, Excel shows me the infamous "the name of the pivot table field is not valid. To create a pivot table report, you must use data in a list format with column labels. If you change the name of a pivot table, you need to type a new name for the field".

However, I have already named all the columns, named the field (the entire table), removed all the empty cells (I found on forums that this was usually the issue), I even filtered the columns to check... and nothing works, I still cannot get my beautiful pivot table.

SO, is there a kind soul who can explain where I am making a mistake? I can send the Excel file if needed and if it’s possible on this site.

(A small detail that I think is unimportant but may not be: I imported the Excel document from Google Drive, but since I imported it in Excel format, I don’t see what the problem could be).

Thank you in advance! :)

Hello,

It's actually very simple: you have a hidden column H that has no name!

Oh yes, it was indeed simple. I had noticed that a column was missing, but I didn't think it could be hidden.

Thank you! :)

Thank you, actually I had 2 merged cells. By unmerging them and giving them a name, it works.
