Problem with GTA San Andreas!!! Closed

Hello everyone,
I'm presenting the problem I'm encountering with Grand Theft Auto San Andreas on PC.

So, I bought GTA San Andreas today, I installed it, and surprise, at the end of the installation, I closed the window to then open San Andreas via the shortcut on the desktop and here's the error message that appears: (see screenshot below)

I had restarted my computer before launching it, I really don't understand what's happening.

I have the right configuration, even well above what's required, DirectX9, which I also installed since they asked me to during the game's installation.

Does anyone have a solution to this rather annoying problem, a game purchased today that doesn't work... it's not great.

I doubt this patch will change anything about your problem; it's simply the update for "censorship" (some scenes from the game that were removed at release but whose data was still in the game files and which a modder had reactivated, it's a pretty funny story). Anyway, it's not a technical fix; however, if you still want to try installing it (you never know), I'd be happy to translate the instructions for you.  As for the patch I mentioned, it doesn't always work; the PS2 to PC port of this game really leaves something to be desired.

I'm going to use a solution that is at least radical, report it and exchange it. (I really don't want to deal with this)  There must be some interesting games on PC that could keep me occupied.  Any ideas, any game suggestions?

Well, you can try another GTA otherwise the games that really tripped me out are: Max Payne 1 and 2, Morrowind, The Godfather, Total Overdose, the Splinter Cell series, Beyond Good & Evil, Far Cry, Prince of Persia... you've got choices! catch you later!

All the problems you have might be related to the fact that QuickTime is installed. Uninstall QuickTime completely and the game will very likely work (wow, what a rhyme^^)

The game starts fine until the menu arrives.
From there, it's almost impossible to do anything, the image flickers and letters of the alphabet appear and disappear continuously at the same time as the image jumps

I installed GTA San Andreas on PC, so until now, no problem :D then I learned that we can get new planes, cars, helicopters on gtasan.fr. I downloaded a new helicopter and when I launch GTA and click on load game, the loading happens and then stops halfway.... does anyone know why or can help me? (I think it might be a virus, but it's weird that my antivirus didn't find it)

I play San Andreas on Vista and I have a problem. When I launch the game, everything goes well; the ads at startup work fine, but when I try to start a game, at the loading bar, the game crashes and it says gta_sa.exe has stopped working.
This happened after I added a map; the game bugged, so I uninstalled it, deleted everything, and reinstalled it, but the game still crashes. I play without a crack and with the DVD.

The game ran very well when I left everything "original"

I have a problem with GTA San Andreas. I installed the game and restarted my computer. Then I installed DirectX 9. After that, I started playing the game. Everything was working well. After finishing the game, I started another game. Everything was going fine!!!!! After, I installed some cars: I installed a Lamborghini, two Mercedes, and a Volkswagen. But after a few months, I replayed San Andreas and there is a problem: when I am in Las Venturas, everything is fine, but later, when I am in Los Santos or San Fierro, the game runs for 10 minutes and then it freezes. I can no longer move CJ and I have to turn off the computer.

Well, I just fixed the bug problem when it gets stuck during loading
I went to the site

- I downloaded the data file and replaced it in my game to make sure I have a good data file

- then I used img tool, I deleted all the dff and txt files I had added and put back the car files that I downloaded to make sure everything was okay

- I followed the readme or read-me files precisely and replaced the lines in the carmod files as needed...

In fact, that's it, sometimes installing mods messes things up, so the quickest way is to install them manually because then you end up searching for the error for ages and then I uninstall the game and reinstall it and it messes up again and so on

the error can come from anywhere, especially in the gta3.img file where there were several copies of the same file
doing it manually is long but you just need to add a few of them from time to time and it works

there you go, it's really cool, modifying GTA is huge

me, I know that a long time ago, when I downloaded the game (and yes, I'm not ashamed to say I downloaded it because I bought it on PS2, but when I saw what you could do on PC... I didn't want to pay again) about a year ago, GTA, well, I had modified some cars and during the low riders mission there was a bug where the mission never ended. Is there a connection? I don't know

On the other hand, I have an old sound problem where sometimes it just goes away and then it comes back, but it's annoying. And then is there someone who knows a bit about how to modify the handling because some cars are just ridiculous in how fast they go, so I'd really like to lower that a bit... Thanks!

Oh well, now my game crashes all the time, I think it's a texture that's installed incorrectly or maybe it's the codes... Have you done any? Because I did the money code at the beginning of the game so I could buy a hideout and save without having to do the first mission, so could that be it?  Otherwise, christo90, also check your GPU drivers, you never know, and uninstall your game, make sure everything is properly deleted from the root and reinstall it.  Can't wait for GTA 4 because I'm fed up with endless bugs.

So I guess if we don’t want to get screwed over, we have to delete everything and reinstall the game properly and only add a couple of vehicles back in.

for MisterV: you need to uninstall the map "manually", it doesn't go away with the uninstallation, and thus still causes problems (if you've done that I'm confused ^^)
When the screen stays black, it might work by pressing the space bar (as someone said - excuse me)
For the disk issues, there are nocd patches that fix it very well but I don't remember where to find them (there's one called "parche multilenguaje.exe")
For alex83, uninstall and reinstall, lol, I don't see any other solution...

Yeah, I think it's because the cars we add either bug the game or it's just that GTA SA is only good if you don't touch anything; after that, it goes downhill and the game goes to shit.  I think adding one or two cars that have logical codes is good; after all, it's true that it's annoying to only add two things.  Try to add vehicles that have logical codes in relation to the ones you're replacing.

When you uninstall the game, make sure that everything has been deleted, for example in c:/pgr files/..... and also delete your folder that is in My Documents and move it to your desktop as if you might need to restore key settings and possibly your saves if it works.

No, I don't think it comes from the computer because otherwise there wouldn't be so many problems, especially since many people now have powerful computers... and GTA doesn't ask for much anyway. The game doesn't seem to crash when nothing has been modified, at least I don't remember it doing so. You need to check the registry keys. It's true that it's not easy to find out where the bug comes from... Does anyone know a topic that explains how the cars are made? Maybe it's not as well done as that... I'm willing to take a look, but I'm too lazy to search. ^^

Hello everyone! I have a problem again with my GTA SA, I'll explain: after fixing the previous issue, I downloaded some vehicles. I installed them following a tutorial, I replaced the txt and dff files and updated the handling. Then I launched the game, selected a save, and towards the end of the loading, everything stops, the music keeps looping, and I have to turn off my PC "brutally" to exit the application, and I'm afraid this could damage my PC.  Could someone please help me?  P.S.: The game has been downgraded to version 1.

It happened to me too cause: poorly installed mod you forgot to add lines in carmod etc.. or you forgot to delete a file anyway I think it’s because a vehicle is poorly installed did you do it manually or with the mod installer software?

Well, for the police, I only replaced the capcar and the motorcycle  when my game crashed like that, I uninstalled the game, deleted everything and redid it all, it's long and annoying  sometimes in the handling file it's on two lines so don't forget to remove everything properly  did you also modify the file  vehicles.ide  Carcols.dat

Well, I'm going to try to uninstall it and start over once more, but I haven't touched the vehicle.ide or carcol.dat files because I can't find IMGtool 2, and sometimes for the download of copcarsf in the folder, there’s copcarla.txt and copcarsf.dff, I don't understand anything.
