Red black connector subwoofer in coaxial

Hello,

I would like to know if anyone is aware of a technique to transform red/black subwoofer connectors into a... It seems to me, coaxial?

I acquired a 5.1 DVD player a while ago and bought an amplifier quite recently. The only small downside is that the subwoofer is not supported like the speakers.

Is there a technique to change my connection or do I need to buy a separate subwoofer? I’ve attempted to find an answer, but they suggest RCA connectors like this:

    Hi,

    The following channels (Front; Center; Surround and Surround back) work in 5.0 up to 7.0, there is no dedicated amplification connection for any subwoofer, the following channels (Front B) are for powering a second room in stereo.

    The pre-out output is a mono analog RCA intended for a powered subwoofer.

    A powered subwoofer is a speaker with a built-in subwoofer and dedicated amplifier.

    To operate the subwoofer in the best possible way, you need a dedicated amplifier like this one, I selected the least expensive on the web, yet powerful enough with a 150W power supply allowing up to 70Wrms in 4 ohms.

    Then you will obviously need to create a wooden enclosure for the subwoofer and integrate the amplifier, which must be connected via mono RCA to the pre-out output of the Pioneer.

    Good evening,

    No, not at all, it's not coax, it's just wire, thick enough to let the current through depending on the power.

    I think we can even unscrew the terminal to slide the conductor into a hole at the base of the plug and tighten it.
    But you can also use a banana plug if you need to move it often... otherwise, nothing beats connecting the bare wire tightly at the base of the plug.

    OK, sorry, I relied on the attached photos; no more.

    Indeed, the Subwoofer in Pre out is an RCA connection that requires a shielded audio cable connection... to a dedicated amplifier or an active speaker.

      The subwoofer is active. So, a simple cable from the amplifier to the subwoofer should be enough.
