Windows + R not working

Question

Hello,

When I press the Windows + R keys (which is supposed to open the 'Run' window), I hear a Windows BEEP (like an error beep, for example) and nothing happens...
My keyboard works fine, drivers are up to date.
OS: Windows 7 Pro x64
It's quite annoying... Given that I use this keyboard shortcut a lot...

Hello,

while waiting to find a solution, you can right-click on the Start button, go to the Start menu tab, click on the Customize button, and check the Run command to have it in the Start menu.

What is the brand and model of the keyboard? Have you tested with another keyboard?

I am a computer scientist, my keyboard is working perfectly, and I have tried with various keyboards; I know that it comes from a software issue and not a hardware one. However, after multiple searches and attempts, I have not managed to find the problem.

Do you have the problem with other shortcuts like Windows + L?
Otherwise, check in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, System, CurrentControlSet, Control, Keyboard Layout, if you have a Scancode Map key
with these values: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 00 00 5B E0 00 00 5C E0 00 00 00 00, you need to delete it.
