Hello,
I wish to remove the YEAR from my dates;
let me explain: in the cells, only the dd and mm are correctly indicated
but in the formula bar, the format dd/mm/yyyy appears.
However, it is in this area that I want to make the YEAR disappear
because when I create a table in 2014 and want to duplicate it for a projection in 2016, for example, the 2014 year still appears; this forces me to modify all the date cells by removing 2014 and replacing it with 2016.
With the Format Cell/Number/Date or /Customize function, the year still appears in the formula bar.
Thank you in advance for your help
Configuration: IMac 27 " Intel Core i5 Quad-Core 2.7 GHz running Mountain Lion 10.8.1 + Asus PC Intel 64 under Windows 7 + Lacie Networkspace2 network drive dedicated to Time Machine + WD drive in Firewire 800 for Carbon Copy Cloner + HP Scanjet 4890 + Canon MG6450

Found!
You need to highlight all the dates in the "pasted"
go to "Edit" "Replace"
Enter 2014 in the "Find" box
Enter 2016 in the "Replace with" box
then click "Replace All"
and it works easily!
Thanks anyway

Hello
It depends on the date you have, but if you can replace it with this example to adapt:
=DATE($Z$1;month;day)
Month and day being the month number and day number making up the date
For example DATE(Z1;12;5) for December 5th of the year in Z1
.....the dates will adjust to the year number you place in Z1

To err is human, to persist is diabolical -
Thank you Vaucluse
The formula works but not in my context; I have to re-enter all the dates.
Look at my attached Excel table and you will better understand my approach

The problem with the links is the -- at the end of them
the -- are normally a separator code indicating the signature that follows....
The correct link

Thank you baladur13 for the info
I don't understand why ci-joint.com sticks these 2 dashes at the end of the link! Or why it doesn’t indicate that they need to be removed.
Unless I'm mistaken, I just copied and pasted the indicated link......with these 2 dashes
Indeed, I removed these 2 dashes and it worked
I will know for next time
Thanks again

The two dashes were added by you... they appear in all your messages (not the comments) as soon as the input window opens below, your signature appears. Best regards

You must not have noticed that the 2 dashes touched the end of the link attached...
Click here on https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-30006821-date-supprimer-l-annee#newanswer and you will see the two dashes as well as your signature below as soon as the input area opens...

Well! What are they doing with my link!
When I inserted my link by "pasting," I placed it in an empty area far from my signature; did it just pop up by itself???? It goes to show that the internet only depends on... two dashes
So question! To prevent this from happening again, is it possible to remove those two dashes from my signature? That would be the end of the question
Thank you again

If you remove the two dashes, then there won't be a signature anymore... because, as mentioned above, the two dashes are a code that indicates the words that follow are to be interpreted as your signature... (fine and gray text)...
If you remove the signature from your profile... then, there will be no more problem, as the dashes will no longer need to appear...

Ah well! A dilemma! Dashes or no dashes! Signature or no signature
But since I'm lazy (and polite) I will leave my signature.......and de facto the dashes
I'll correct it when the time comes if the dashes resurface.

Hello,
You shouldn't delete anything.
Instead, go to "cell format" and, instead of selecting "date," select "custom" (the last option in the list). There, you'll find a number of formats that could be useful to you.
Have a nice day. -
Thank you,
No, that is not the solution....... that I found; read my message above from April 6
