Rechargeable batteries or not in my landline phone?

I need to change the batteries in my landline phones and I can't remember if I should
use rechargeable ones or not? I didn't keep the old ones! Is there a risk? Thank you

    on almost any device, you can use non-rechargeable batteries, and it will work without any issues.
    Of course, you need to use batteries of the same reference.
    Same size and same voltage.
