Keyboard issue on ibm laptop

Solved

Good evening everyone, here is my problem:
I just bought a second-hand IBM laptop and the keys on the right side of the keyboard have numbers in addition to the letters.
For example, if I type k, a 2 is entered.
I found a solution that doesn't really suit me; I have to hold down the (purple) Fn key at the same time to type the letter correctly. You will agree that this is super inconvenient.
In short, I am unable to configure the keyboard to cancel this function.
I heard that this detail is common to all IBM laptops; does anyone have a tip?
Thank you in advance and good night to those who are going to bed.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

    Hello
It's late for the reply but useful for the next ones, to enable/disable the numeric keypad on IBM it's the shift+scroll key

    Hello,
I have an IBM and I'm having exactly the same problem with my IBM laptop, and even by clicking the fn key, nothing changes, for example k=2, m=0.
Could someone tell me what I could do?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

I have a Dell laptop where the keyboard layout seems to be the same.

To lock (or unlock) the numeric keypad, I press fn+Num Lock (on the F4 key).

    Best regards.
