Hi everyone, I would like to know if it's possible to install the map editor for Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars without installing the game?
Let me explain:
I have installed C&C 3 on my home PC, and I wanted to install the map editor on my desktop PC to create some maps during my free time. But you need to install the game to be able to install the map editor, which I don't want to do for three reasons:
The first is that I don't have a DVD drive on my desktop PC.
The second is that the desktop PC, well ... it's a desktop PC, you know ... it's meant for work.
The third is ... um ... actually there isn't a third one ... lol

Hi there. Once the game is patched and the World Builder installation is complete, you can modify existing maps or create new ones. You will then need to save them in a specific folder on the system and not just anywhere. The same goes for downloaded maps. The default path is something like:
C:\Documents and Settings\<your account="" name="">\Application Data\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Maps
Note: the Application Data folder is a hidden folder, so you'll need to 'show' it by checking the box "show hidden files and folders," which is accessible via the Tools menu - Folder Options - View tab, in Windows Explorer. There you go.
As for the invalid key, it’s likely due to the existence of programs that generate keys, so someone may have stumbled upon the same one as yours and registered it with EAGames. Too bad, that's unfortunate. But if you purchased the game, you have bought a right to use it, and it is therefore legitimate for you to make a claim. Contact Electronic Arts through their C&C site; I'm sure that if you can prove your purchase, they will give you a brand new key.
Important note regarding keys: the letters O and the number 0 can often be confusing characters, so if you have one in the combination, try using only O's or only 0's. Maybe that will work.

Bonjour à tous, moi j'ai un souci, je suis sous Vista et je n'ai pas d'outil dans mon menu pour tout expliquer. J'ai téléchargé de nouvelles cartes et j'ai un fichier WinRAR et je ne sais pas comment l'installer. J'ai lu qu'on pouvait créer des cartes. Quelqu'un pourrait me dire si c'est possible et dans ce cas, comment fait-on ?

I recommend clubic.com for downloading all sorts of patches and software for games, but the problem with the Command and Conquer 3 map editor (World Builder) is that it's not easy to understand. Even I, who am a renowned computer scientist (I might be exaggerating a bit, lol), don't understand it very well, and the worst part is that it runs very slowly on my PC, but I think it's the only one anyway.
