Another name appears when I send emails.

Hello,

I have a problem when I send or receive emails (from my Hotmail or Gmail accounts). Sometimes users see my father's name with his photo (related to his Gmail account)...
Or when I receive an email, the recipient (me) is my father's name but my email address (usually Hotmail).

However, my name is correctly registered in the settings of both my email accounts.
I can't find any answers on this subject, and it's annoying when I send emails to professionals who receive the photo and the name of a man when I am a woman.

Maybe you have an answer?

    Just a quick update on this problem because my partner has the same issue: when he sends emails from his iPhone, the recipient receives them with my address as the sender... and I have his emails in my "sent messages" folder.

    This only happens through his iPhone; everything works fine if we use Outlook.

    We have checked his settings, and it is indeed his address that is configured everywhere...

    If anyone can help because we’re stuck here...

    Indeed, that can be annoying.

    Are you using the web interface to send your emails or are you using software like Outlook or others?

    I'm not sure about sending from the iPhone, but when I receive emails from other people (who generally have a Gmail address) on my iPhone, it's my father's name that appears as the recipient.

    I don't know what a "web interface" is... I always send my emails from my hotmail.fr inbox (either from Outlook or from my iPhone).

    Does your iPhone also send emails in your father's name?

      I just did a test from my iPhone: if I send an email from my Gmail account to a Hotmail account, there’s no problem, but when I send an email from my Hotmail account to a Gmail account, my father's photo appears instead of my photo, but his name does not show up.

    I'm not sure I fully understand.
    Did you mean that when you receive an email on your iPhone, the name that shows up in the recipient field is your father's name?

    Yes, that happens but not all the time. People also receive emails from me with my father's name. It's quite variable... I took a screenshot but I can't upload it to the forum.
