Hello,
I'm reaching out because I'm having a big issue...
A few days ago, I modified my live.fr account, here's the explanation:
I have a main address adresse1@live.fr and an alias adresse2@outlook.com. Since I use the alias more, I wanted to set it as the primary alias in my account settings, which worked perfectly.
However, that evening, when I tried to log back into my live account, I couldn't... with the error message This Microsoft account does not exist.. I then tried to log in with the alias adresse2@outlook.com, but I had never set a password for that address since it was the secondary alias, so I initiated the password reset procedure for adresse2@outlook.com, which eventually worked after a while.
The problem is that I can access my inbox for adresse2@outlook.com, but I no longer have any emails or access to adresse1@live.fr... I have a lot of very important emails on it because it's an address I use for work!
Since adresse1@live.fr no longer exists according to Microsoft, I tried to recreate it, but I received a message stating adresse1@live.fr is already a Microsoft account... I don't understand anything anymore :(
I've emailed Microsoft support for the past two days, and strangely, I still haven't received any response. Have I discovered a bug or a flaw in their system? Regardless, I urgently need to recover my emails.
If anyone has any information or tips... I'm open to any advice, I'm even willing to call support even though it's Saturday...

I also had this message "This Microsoft account does not exist. Please enter another email address..." to recover your address, right-click on your name then "account settings", add the address you want to recover as an alias, and you should normally receive emails that were sent to that lost address as well as the old ones.
It worked for me, don’t count on Microsoft support to help you!!!

Unfortunately, we cannot create aliases with a live.fr domain :(
I have finally given up on my address and my emails.
I promise I won't mess around with aliases anymore :-/
