Hello,

I would like to buy a Samsung BD F8500 decoder or a Samsung BD F8509. Apparently, the difference lies in the tuner; one is DVB-S/S2 and the other is DVB-T/C, but I don't know the difference. Does anyone know?

Thank you
Best regards

    Hello.

The difference is simple. One is designed to decode through a rooftop antenna, the other through a satellite dish.

DVB-S for Satellite (dish) and DVB-T for Terrestrial (rooftop antenna)
