Error message "Selected boot image did not authenticate"

Hello everyone,

When I turn on my computer (running Windows 8), the following message appears:
"Selected boot image did not authenticate - press enter to continue"

When I press enter, the computer shuts down immediately.

For your information: I have the 4 recovery DVDs that were created at the beginning of the computer's use.

I don't know what to do.

It is still under warranty, but I’m afraid of losing my data if I send it in for service (I have some photos that are very important to me).

Could someone please help me?

    I finally contacted customer service by phone, and they had me do some troubleshooting.
    It turned out that the hard drive was dead, so I had to send the PC to customer service. They replaced it for me.
    I lost all my data.

    I hope for your sake that it's not the same issue.
