Hello,
I just installed Windows 2000 Pro on a PC. The problem is that it doesn't recognize my USB port while it was recognized with XP. As a result, I can't install the AliceBox.
Could you please help me?

It is not necessary to connect via USB. Use the RJ45 port if there is a network card on the computer.
The speed will only be better and in terms of security, it will also be better.
The USB port will certainly be recognized after installing SP4 Windows 2000.
See you later!-
Hello alex31410,
Unfortunately, this computer does not have an RJ45 port. Now, if I download the SP4 of Windows 2000 and burn it onto a CD so that I can perform this update from the CD, do you think it would be feasible?- The best would be to invest in a network card (D-Link, Linksys for example, €15), this would solve many problems and simplify the computer's operation with networks. The USB interface is not originally designed for that.
Don't forget to acquire an RJ45/RJ45 Ethernet cable if not supplied with the Alicebox (not usually supplied with network cards, normally supplied with the Alicebox).
Be careful if you have a Pentium II computer, make sure there is a free PCI slot on the motherboard.
See you later.
